    The secret behind this snack bar to end all snack bars is a simple: it’s the nuts. All we do is take some seriously good peanuts and get them mingling with some top-notch oats, peanut butter, cacao nibs and the tiniest pinchette of sea salt. We shape them. We bake them. So all you really need to do is scoff them.

    We gather the world’s heavenliest hazelnuts and treat them to a lovely, long relaxing bath in our silky caramel. Then all that remains is to add some hearty oats and juicy raisins to the mix, bake into bars and top with choc. It’s a delish-athon, a festival of yum. And it’s got your name on it. (Though not literally.)

About our packaging

Not only is Hüüg totally vegan, gluten free, wheat free and a source of fibre – but all our packaging is made from a super-cool compostable material.

Our packs are made from a clever combo of TIPA and NatureFlex.

This means they’re 100% compostable – see local council for details.

If you have a brown bin for food waste, you should be able to pop it in there.

What on earth is Hüüg

Fabulous question. It’s finding a hidden track at the end of a record. It’s seeing a dog that looks just like its owner. It’s getting a letter from the tax man… and then finding it’s a rebate.

It’s that feeling you get when you eat a ridiculously indulgent and delicious snack bar only to find out it doesn’t contain anything iffy or guilt inducing – and that the pack is totally compostable. We like to think of it as a hug from the universe.

Palm oil – the only way is ethics

Now, if you’re the kind of person who likes to read the ingredients on the stuff you buy, then you might have noticed that we put a bit of palm oil into the chocolatey coating on our bars. And if you’re the kind of person who’s interested in making the world a better place (our favourite sort of person, BTW), you might have thought that seemed a bit iffy. Well, hopefully we can reassure you.
